I've collected the maps here rather than wedging them into the main page.
The maps represent a couple different scales
One combines walking, cycling and 10-15 minute drives.
One map with easy day trips.
One map with multiple overnight trip scale.
One map with an Ambitious, Long day trip in a different area.
I included the map scale in the legends for two of the maps.
You can always hop on Google Maps, Apple maps, or Open Street Map and explore any of these places at whatever scale you want. I just wanted to give a sense of what we were able do to in a given amount of time. Being October, we often returned to Siran after sundown.
Putting these maps on another page allows me to introduce more stories.

Before going to Siran, this was about all I knew of where it was. It was hard to find on any printed map, etc.
Maison Siran Binder map
The Maison Siran owners had compiled a binder with various things to do and see. It had this map, which was useful during the first days there. For example, Olonzac had a Super Marche...
We quickly got to know other villages as we passed through them - Azille was a cross road, Homp was down on the Canal - What the Heck - this doesn't even show "Pépieux", the most fun name to say.
Centeilles is a beautiful little church in the hills north of Siran. We visited it, but I have no photos on the site as of this writing. A chamber music group was recording there when we arrived, so we needed to tip toe around.
Note: I added the dashed line here to indicate one could get from Narbonne to Siran without going through Olonzac.
Siran Vicinity
This maps shows the following activities as pictured on the main page:
Walked (violet) to neighboring village, La Livinière
Cycled to Pépieux and Homp (green)
Drove to Minerve - Chantovent for lunch (black)
Drove to other nearby villages mentioned on the main page (black)
The binder had general directions on how to cycle through vineyard lanes to get to Pépieux. But no problem! We were able to find our way at our own pace. We could practically see where we were going, since it was so Open.
Siran Area
Caracasonne was a short day trip through Trébes. No Problem! Turns out that Trébes was jammed with French police because the Minister of the Interior (Defense?) had helicoptered in to observe the anniversary of a terrorist attack there and in Carcasonne in March 2018.
Here's the WikiPedia article:

Hautpoul - Pic de Nore and Mazemet - Wonderful, Scenic, Longish day trip.
2019 Region to the east
Four Day road trip from Siran to Aig-Mortes and Cassis - then to the Pont du Gard and associated cities.
Text for Search engines to discover. LOL
Four Day road trip from Siran through Béziers to Aigues-Mortes for an overnight stay.
Then to Cassis for overnight.
Then to Arles for overnight.
Then to the Pont du Gard, and Uzés for overnight.
Finally we made a short visit to Nîmes and back Home.
No overnights in Béziers or Nîmes.
Drive To Peyrepertuse
Peyrepertuse - Ambitious, Long day trip. Was going to be a 2 hour drive in each direction, so we left as early as we could in the morning.
We stopped for lunch in ???
This is from Google maps today. It might or might not be the route we took.
We made some kind of loop to get home. To be improved as time permits, and Cynthia feeds me corrections!!
